Celebrating Love and Romance always stirs my heart and puts a smile on my face.
Love in all its many forms, though in many ways intangible, is always under pursuit by us.
We want to know what 💖LOVE 💖IS‼
I remember as a child, my mom would make my brother and me Valentine’s cards by hand. She was an Art Teacher by profession and would always have art supplies on hand around our house. To this day, I still enjoy making
Valentine’s Day cards by hand!
When it came time for my son to bring Valentine’s cards to school, we would set up a major production line on the dining room table, complete with scissors, paint, ribbons, glitter and Tootsie Pop Lollipops. The days of assembly line card making for classmates are over, but the memories of making cards together is still alive in our hearts.
So, what does Valentine’s Day mean to me?
It is a Day to rejoice in ALL the Wonderfully loving relationships I have in my life. First, and foremost this year, I am remembering to Love myself!!! I have very capable, supportive and loving family members around me that ALL want to add to the Day’s festivities.
My MOM is visiting from Upstate New York! That in itself is a true Valentine’s Gift!
Last year, my dear friend showed up mid morning with a Beautiful plate of homemade cupcakes! Thoughtful and unexpected offerings are what make the Day so special.
I am planning on starting the day by giving cards to all my Loved ones.
It is still a school day, so after we drop off my son for the day, I am hoping to go out for a nice breakfast. There is a new place here in San Diego called Minou. It is a French Crêperie and I think it will be the perfect start to a day filled with Love.
Here is a little preview of what I have decided to wear for a Daytime Valentine’s:
It is fun to plan a little ahead! I like to get everything ready and in order so that I don’t have to think too much on Valentine’s morning. My Mind and Tasts Buds are already on the Cappuccinos and Crêpes!!
When it comes to expressing the true meaning of Valentine’s Day, I like to remember the Patron Saint responsible for the Day. After all, if it were not for him many Roman Soldiers would never have found a way to wed their Beloveds. I like to think of this as “where there is a Will, there is most certainly a Way!
It is a very good metaphor for Life, wouldn’t you say?
I like to use this Day as a way of expressing my feelings and thoughts with those I love. I want those I love to know it, unquestionably and without reservation!
“Being deeply Loved by someone gives YOU strength, while Loving someone deeply gives YOU COURAGE!” -Lao Tzu
Sending out Special Wishes to Everyone for a Happy Valentine’s Day!
