Halloween Chic At Our House

posted in: Family | 4

I Love Halloween!

In our house, decorating for Halloween begins in early October.  Over the years, I have made pieces and collected others.  All come together to depict my idea of a Chic Halloween.

The decorations are a little Spooky, a lot Sexy, and all with a very Good Sense of Humor!

Everyone in our Family gets involved.  There is just so much to do!

The carving of pumpkins, the laughter that fills the air, and the comraderie of everyone helping each other.  It is just FUN!

And then, there is my much anticipated visit from this Gal, the Wicked Witch of La Jolla!

And her sidekick, Gremlin!

Sibling Zombies, AKA, Rafi and Alexis.

Every year I am inspired to write a small poem for Halloween.

“When the wind is rustling the drying leaves on the limbs above,

and the mysterious eyes are upon you,

this marks the time is near.

The chill is real as the cackling laughter emanates from the darkest corners.

 The smell of incense clings.

Glowing pumpkins line the pathways.

It takes courage to reach the bell.

Candy is a Motivator, is it not?”

We do have a good time together for Halloween! Yesterday, I made my first floral Crown to wear with my Halloween Kimono! We are actually going to a party this year! My friend will be handing out all that Candy this year. I’m trying SO HARD not to open those bags until tomorrow. Of course, then I turn into a sugar addict!
      XOXO

We have gotten them anywhere from Ralph’s to the Pumpkin Patch at the Del Mar Fair grounds, to Bates Nut Farm, as well. It’s kind of hit or miss. Happy Halloween!
